Associate Product Manager (B2C)
As the Associate Product Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Product Marketing. Your role will be to assist the Dir Product Marketing in all aspects of product management for our flagship product, Carbonite Online Backup. The product management role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, engineering, QA and customer support; you'll interact regularly with people across departments and at all levels of the organization.
Sample Projects Include
- Develop product help / tutorials
- Direct usability studies on our product and website
- Perform competitive analysis and prepare comparative reports to support sales and product strategy
- Work with customer support to refine FAQs and in-product help
- Recommend and write specifications for new features / functionality based on customer and competitive research
- Document processes, features and functionality for internal and external use
- Assist in developing co-branded versions of our products
- Coordinate launch of new product offerings
- Apply for product certifications and awards
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience in product management, marketing, development or consulting
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Ability to work long hours when necessary (however, Carbonite has a flexible work-hours policy)
- BA/BS required
Desired but not required:
- Background in engineering / computer science
- Excellent writing skills a plus
- Basic knowledge of HTML / CSS / Javascript a big plus
- Mac proficiency a plus

Stock Options

Paid Time-off (PTO)
Employees start accruing 15 days of PTO from the moment they join Carbonite. For each completed year of service an employee receives an additional day of PTO up to a maximum of 20 days.
Holidays
You will be eligible for ten holidays per calendar year.
Employee Referral Program
All Carbonite employees are eligible to participate in the employee referral program. Referring employee will receive one of the following bonuses after the referred employee has been employed for 90 days.
Referral Bonus Payout
$1,000 for the hiring of a non-exempt employee
$2,000 for the hiring of a full-time exempt employee below a manager
$3,000 for the hiring of a full-time exempt employee that is a manager or director
$5,000 for a VP
